Rolling Stones and Bon Jovi Mash-Up Clip on ‘Glee’
Posted by: | CommentsFOX has been generous enough to give curious fans of “Glee” a sneak peek of the November 8 episode where the girls go against the guys in a mash-up battle. The storyline is rather familiar for they have done so in the first season when the girls combined “Halo” and “Walking on Sunshine”, and the guys blended “It’s My Life” and “Confessions Part II”.

Bon Jovi’s song appears again in this upcoming episode but it would be the girls’ showtime. In the sneak peek below, Rachel and her friends open with The Rolling Stones’ “Start Me Up” before slipping the “whoa-aaa” part of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer”. A behind the scene is also released to reveal that the rehearsal for the particular clip did not always go smooth.
In the meantime, the boys would tone down the rock meter with a mash-up of The Supremes’ “Stop! In the Name of Love” and En Vogue’s “Free Your Mind”. Other songs which would be performed in the episode called “Never Been Kissed” are Bob Marley’s “One Love (People Get Ready)” which would be sung by Puck and Artie as well as Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” which is performed by Dalton Academy and has also been previewed.

In the September 26 episode, when Krusty the Clown is announced as the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Homer invites Bart to accompany him on a trip to Oslo for the ceremony. Sensing that Lisa would feel left out, Marge surprises her with a week-long retreat at performing arts camp, where she is greeted by her artsy counselors and fellow musically inclined campers, who inspire her to embrace her creative side.

Comic Con 2010: ‘Glee’ Spoilers, Plans and More
Posted by: | Comments“Glee” was one of the most anticipated panels at San Diego Comic Con on Sunday, July 25 proven from the number of screaming fans and the length of signing queue. Chris Colfer, Amber Riley, Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale and their co-stars served the Gleeks with bits and pieces from the second season, including some spoilers.

The first thing discussed was the romance between Tina and Artie which will be no more in season 2. In fact, it will be a love triangle as Mike Chang steps in. Talking more generally about the new season, creator Ryan Murphy said, “People think we’re going to get bigger next season, but we’re going in a different direction.” This means less musical numbers and more story. “We’re doing about five music numbers per episode instead of eight,” he confirmed.
The Britney Spears episode was also discussed. Airing in September, it is called “Britney/Brittany” and will feature six songs. Since Matthew Morrison expressed his objection in having the Britney theme, his character Will Schuester will also be against the idea. As for whether Justin Timberlake would come over, Murphy said “no” although they are always open for the idea of him being Will’s younger brother.
The biggest scoop delivered at the panel is the fact that they will do a Rocky Horror Picture Show-themed episode. Colfer who plays Kurt said that he is looking forward to sing “Time Wrap” which is the theme song to the show. Later after the panel ended, the cast walked out of the podium with the original song played.
Some of the confirmed songs have something to do with religion like “Losing My Religion” and “Papa, Can You Hear Me?”. This correlates to the storyline when Mercedes brings Kurt to her church. Speaking about Kurt, Murphy who is openly gay said, “I wanted Kurt to have the high school experience that I didn’t have. I want him to have a boyfriend and for them to be prom king and king. I think that’s something important to put out into the world.”
Before the panel was wrapped, it was confirmed that Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth will return as Rachel’s mom and April respectively. That said, Murphy is hoping to shed some light on Rachel’s two gay dads.
“Glee” returns September 21 on FOX.
“Glee” cast at signings:
Britney Spears Episode on ‘Glee’ Confirmed
Posted by: | CommentsDespite an objection from one of the cast, “Glee” moves on with Britney Spears’ manager’s idea of having an episode using the pop singer’s catalog, much like they did in season 1 with Madonna tribute. ET got the confirmation from creator Ryan Murphy who said a Spears episode is “currently in the middle of writing” process.

Back in April, Britney’s manager, Adam Leber, began campaigning for a special episode featuring his client via Twitter, writing “Do you guys want to see a Britney Spears episode of Glee?”. Ryan Murphy then responded, “I’m interested in the Britney Spears idea. I’ve always loved her. I’m entertaining it. I think young kids would like that.”
Asked for opinion, Matthew Morrison said, “That’s a rumour her manager started. I hope our show doesn’t go along that route.” However, co-star Jenna Ushkowitz said, “I would so not be against a Britney episode. I’m such a huge fan. It would be so much fun.”
There is no clue yet whether Britney would appear in the episode. Ryan previously said that he planned a big tribute episode after 2011′s Super Bowl but did not mention the artist.
Glee – Matt Lucas to Guest?
Posted by: | CommentsMATT LUCAS has been a giant baby, a teenage chav and a gay-hating gay, so a part in Glee will be nae bother.
He’s landed the role of a muddled Brit teacher with a secret love for musicals in the hit US TV show. A solo song is being lined up too.
But he might be entering a war zone, cast members locked in to long-term contracts are less than happy at missing out on the hit show’s mega profits.
The Little Britain star has a hectic year ahead. He’ll have to fit his Glee stint around filming new BBC series Come Fly With Me with pal DAVID WALLIAMS.
